She is part of an exchange program from California, attending a prestigious university in Paris. In this story, the reader can experience her following the twists and turns of young adulthood emotions and ordeals. The story features her starting out almost emotionless and empty, longing for someone to relate to. All of a sudden, one night a fire breaks out in her appartement building as she is in the shower. Firemen arrive at the scene, and no other than Xavier Michaux was assigned to do a sweep of the apartments. Finding her in this awkward situation drove a connection between them. He took her back to the station, and the rest was history. Indulge in this detail oriented novel, and follow the emotions of this romantic lover's spectacle.
