Quick and/or extreme changes in temperatures, fire behavior and the fire environment place firefighters in harm's way. As well,, the conditions such as working in small confined space or in tall buildings complicate the rescue operations. To this end, emotional concern including loss of dear ones and destruction of property is another concern that concerns firefighters. This is why mental resilience and emotional preparedness are components of training within NIFS training programs. Building Future Heroes Everyone who is into firefighting is not only into the field because of job but also because of missions to accomplish. At NIFS, course, we groom competent professional and dedicated firefighters who are prepared for any eventuality. This has made those of our training programs to come up with a train and empower persons to be heroes in the society.
