Fireplace Stories

I sit by the fireplace with blankets, pillows, hot coco, and my notebook. I look at the fireplace until I get a writing idea. Suddenly, there was a loud noise in my kitchen I get up to investigate. When I walk in I see my cat. Awe she must be hungry I forgot to feed her. I feed her and walk back into my living room wear my fireplace is.

We were given a small assignment in my English class and this was my outcome. My classmates suggested I upload it, so here you go.

Coldness

Introduction - Fireplaces are loved by people from early times. Not only did they keep people warm during winter they also added an aesthetic appeal to the house. Sitting near a fireplace gives a cozy feeling. Almost everyone living in cold areas had a fireplace at their home. Using them was simple too- put some dry wood and light them.

Note: This is a side story to Away From Home, one of my other stories, but it works fine on it's own as well! She never slept. Her eyes, they never closed. Mortality? Never had it. Her name was Elisabeth Jane. The fire slowly flickered out, leaving only ashes behind.
