One year after Bucky Barnes willingly went into cryo, and his release from Hydra's mental games, Steve Rogers has done nothing but wait for his best buddy. Practically ditching the Avengers, Steve has dropped his title all for the sake of living a normal life and spending his days teaching Bucky how to use modern household items, as well as trying all he can to trigger his friend's memory. Steve was prepared to be let down every time Bucky wouldn't remember something, and he was prepared to spend the rest of his days with his friend, but what he wasn't prepared for were the emotions which followed, and the way he was beginning to fall for James Buchanan Barnes.

What would've happened if Bucky was with Steve during his early army days? And more specifically, what if Bucky was in love with his best friend? I DO NOT OWN ANY CHARACTERS!
