I salute the light within your eyes where the whole Universe dwells. For when you are at that center within you and I am that place within me, we shall be one. - Crazy Horse, Oglala Lakota Sioux (circa 1840-1877) My father was a healer and a teacher. A healer... well, because he healed himself. He spent time in the institution, sojourning from grade seven to grade twelve at the age of forty, for what seemed eternity and then graduated college as a teacher. He was an incredible man much like his father and his father before. He married a story-teller, she was strong and beautiful ... they were destined to fail. She came from a royal blood line, top of the hierchy of all Indian Nations. He drank his shame away, shame of who he was and shame of the last name given to his grandfather when the white man came to our land. My name is Alexander Christian. This is our story.

Times have changed, I have a family of my own. A beautiful house and husband. Life is good. So good it allows me to think about this world with Indigenous lens, a proud "red face" and two red, glittery, magic heels once worn by another certain girl traveling the yellow brick road! Bitch, just kidding. For reals tho, let's talk about that kid, Childish Gambino. Yeah, THIS IS AMERICA. It all started for me when I fell in love with his hit, REDBONE. Shirtless, mad dancing skills, them funkadelic beats and octaves that hit me deep! I love this guy. He is well educated, a filmmaker, a lyricist, a writer... the list goes on. Check out my video's in Chapter 1!

My depression has been my life struggle, with my single mother as a parent, family that was never truly there for me, and friends who were toxic and judgemental which influenced me into wanting them to like me so I took in the toxic traits. My 2 relationships where they cheated on me constantly. Spirituality made me feel more cared for and I made it to my goal of loving myself and not caring about other people more then myself. You love yourself, then you can love others.

[Major Edits of Ch. 1-8 on 3/5/21} Someone is murdering young women on the campus of Salt Lake Community College where Charlotte and her roommate, Quinn, attend school. Concerned for their safety, Quinn's brother, Quentin, moves in with the best friends. A lifetime of being an independent woman with a disability leaves Charlotte less than impressed with Quentin's bossy ways regardless of how unbelievably good looking he is or how much she finds herself attracted to him. But spending so much time with the siblings and a chance encounter with a beautiful but dangerously strange man, Theo, soon thrusts Charlotte into a world she could never have been prepared for -- a world of aliens, secret government agencies, Native American mysticism, and two men competing for her heart. Except Theo doesn't plan on playing by the rules and makes it clear that he must possess Charlotte at any cost, including destroying the people she loves most. It will take her own unique abilities, courage, ingenuity and love for the siblings to defend against someone whose powers are beyond comprehension.

Take a ride with us on the REZ'S EDGE.
