She was pressed against a gnarly tree, her eyes wide in fear and her chest rising and falling quickly. A few meters away stood him. He looked as if he could of been well built, but years of being on his own had left him with a disproportional body. Large parts of him where covered in large burns. But that wasn't was scared me. On his face, was blood.

I board this metal contraption dubbed an aeroplane, hurtling through the sky, for education's farce-how foolish. Schools, like puppets, exploit minds, shaping them into acquiescent tools. Power lies not in knowledge, but in breaking free from the chains of rulers. But that is not my concern. I wrote this originally for novel study in my English class. But I decided to extend the story in to pretty much The Death Cure in Newt's perspective; what his mind and him went through during the entire journey almost up until page.250. Since I think there were not enough scenes of Newt and his thoughts (there could never be enough tbh), here it is. A story written in the style of a journal, if Newt did carry one from the beginning of the third novel.

This is a first-person perspective story about a 28yrs old woman writing about her childhood experience at their cabin in the woods. She writes about the terror she experiences through the night and how someone or something won't leave her alone. This all ended in a ritual they had to do to remove everything that is tide to her.
