AU where Alex actually does leave after Henry rebuffs him and disappears from public view, only to turn up half a decade later at Great Ormond while Henry's visiting, sleeping with his hand in that of a child none the wiser.

In which Henry is a runaway royal, Alex is himself, and London is the new City of Love... Instead of putting up with his family's constant torments over his sexuality, Henry runs away from home. By chance, Alex is also in London, on work experience for international relations... And the rest... well, it's history, huh?

On the threads, a small session with Casey was conducted and she said that Alex and Henry would not have gone for a kid while in their 20s but they decide for go for one in their 30s. It is something that inspired me to write this small one shot. Juniper has blessed the lives of June and Nora. Alex and Henry spend a lot of time with her till Henry decides that they should have a kid despite being the one who rejected this idea in the first place.

Waterloo Letters are one of the most important historical events of the 20s of the 2000s, it changed the world's perspective about the LGBTQ community and built a base for gender and sexuality equality all over the world. This book tells the stories of a few people from all over the world who were affected by the story themselves, queer teens or just allies who got the opportunity to help and support and took it because of it. --- Basically the trailer to RWRB came out Thursday and on Wednesday I spent the whole night rereading the book. This whole week I was (and still) so invested in the new movie and it brought back my love for this book as well as it inspired me to write this collection of short stories of people who were affected by this amazing event which I wish happened in our world as well. I do not own the concept of Waterloo Letters or any character from RWRB mentioned here, all belong to Casey McQuiston and others who own rights on the book, most certainly not to me. Hope someone would like this idea, I know it's not a regular fanfic and the last time I tried this concept (with Harry Potter and a story about a couple that were in Hogwarts at the time) it failed miserably. But still with the hype and everything, I think, maybe, even only a few people could enjoy this-at least I hope so. The works in this series show how Adult Alex is still affected by this trauma, including his relationship with grief, experiencing panic attacks, survivors guilt and how he falls in love with Henry along the way.
