𝟗𝟏𝟏: 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐲

This is a non fiction story about the murder of my nephew during a mass shooting in 2021 in Tucson, AZ. The story is written from my perspective of the events of that day and the aftermath that followed. My hope is that his story will not fade and to possibly help others dealing with loss. Below are a few chapters to try and get some feedback. I have a lot more written but I guess I need to know if this a project I should continue to work on or not. Helping to raise 2 children and working make time and money a tight commodity.

The story revolves around our female protagonist, Zara K. Harper. A woman that has gone through a lot. From having her father leave her to a woman that her late mother trusts; finding out that he started a new family a few years later, to facing her father's short comings after a nasty incident in his company. Though, that didn't stop her from becoming a person who willingly risk their life to save the helpless. Zara thought this is the very peak of her journey, but everything changed when a new recruit came in her department. Zara thought it'd be just a new rookie that's an addition in the collection. However, the newcomer says otherwise.

An EMT named Josh Boyson, age twenty-four, who responds to a devastating car accident caused by a drunk driver where a young teenage girl named Tracey Morgue who was involved in the accident and the scene triggers a memory of a time Josh caused an accident while driving under the influence when he was nineteen years old-and a senior in high school but kept it a secret for five years. Now Josh finds out that after the accident the same girl named Tracey in the DUI accident is the same girl who Josh had ran over her little sister named Emory Morgue who Josh had killed-but ran from the scene. But after the accident, Tracey's father named Sawyer Morgue who hijacks the ambulance while Josh is treating Tracey in the ambulance on their way to the hospital and Josh is held at gunpoint. Josh while in the ambulance with Sawyer and Sawyer's brother is driving the ambulance while on a police chase. Sawyer wants Josh to confesswhy he ran from the hit and run after running over and killing Emory. But will Josh confess and can he deal with the stress of saving Tracey Morgue and dealing with the guilt of killing Emory Morgue.
