After facing a life or death situation, Cassie Lewis is stuck trying to get herself out of the fear and dread that follows while also trying to help her family recover too. The hostage situation showed her the reality of the world that she had watched from the outside since she was a little girl. Now that world has been shattered, revealing the reality of it. She struggles to keep herself together while everyone else is falling apart. But when one person goes too far, she wonders if anything will ever be the same again.
