She carries an infant, now safe. Breaking the surface, the woman surveys her surroundings and spots land. Distracted by a noise from the shore, she observes a group of people strolling along the beach. Turning her gaze towards the child cradled in her arms, a resolve forms within her; she knows what must be done for its safety-even if it isn't easy. Plunging back beneath the waves with child in tow, she swims toward shore and heads in the direction of the beachgoers.
