In the outskirts of Seattle there is a little coffee shop called The Coffee Ship(there was a mixup in the paper work and the name just stuck). Regulars here have come to know it as Fairy's Haven as well as The Evergreen Grotto. They say its like another being built this place and you feel a strange sense of calm and peace when you walk in. (I wrote this at 6 a.m. #NoSleepWriting. Sorry for the poor grammar) The sun is setting and every minute that passes I grow more and more weary. The horizon painted with hues of red and orange is slowly being overtaken by the looming darkness of the night. The slow shift of the amount of light beaming from the sun into nothing, is frightening. Darkness is frightening. Surviving until dawn is a goal which resets itself nightly. The eerie presence that envelopes the world bring about things. Things that contain hearts reflecting the color of the night. Danger fills the earth as these things freely wander. But when the sunlight finally cracks the ever so solid blackness. a sigh of relief escapes my body. However the feeling of security doesn't last, for when the sun rises it must eventually set. Thus repeating the endless cycle of dark and light, of fear and relief, and of death and life.
