Rosella "Rosie" Beatrice Ortigas talks like she breathes-non-stop, unapologetically, and preferably in three languages with one eye-roll per sentence. After an "attitude problem" scandal that set Manila's gossip mill on fire, her family ships her off to the province, far from Gucci storefronts and WiFi signals, hoping fresh air might fix what a hundred therapists couldn't.
She's fully prepared to hate it. That is, until she accidentally crashes into Santiago "Santi" Velarde, the quiet boy next door-emphasis on quiet. Half-French, half-softboi, full mystery, Santi is all unread glances and mismatched socks, recently returned from studying abroad to visit his childhood yaya for the summer. He likes peace, long walks, and absolutely not talking to anyone, especially not chatty girls with loud opinions and louder playlists.
But Rosie? She never met a wall she couldn't talk through.
As rice fields and late-night conversations replace city lights, Rosie begins to wonder-
what if the best part of her summer wasn't
escaping Manila... but being seen, truly seen, by someone who doesn't even speak half as much?
And maybe, just maybe, Santi starts to realize... zome noise is worth listening to.
