Keefe and Sophie are lost. In completely different worlds, they fight their own battles, but they both need each other to win. Two of Sophie's friends are taken hostage, and she will stop at nothing to get them back. But coming for them means going through things never seen before - Forgotten Secrets, classified projects, and something dangerous. Keefe fights to stay safe in the Forbidden Cities - his mother finds him everywhere. Only now, she is even more dangerous than before - wielding new powers no one could have thought of. They both need to survive. But first, limits need to be pushed. Barriers need to be crossed. And Sophie and Keefe will find themselves in places they never imagined. AU It's 20 years in the future, and Sophie's mind has been broken for 14 of them, a because no one has been able to fix her; not even Fitz, who can only prevent her mind from breaking further. He sits by her bed every day, doing his best to heal her, and rarely takes breaks. The Ruwens, Vackers, Dizznees, Song twins, and Keefe all take turns stopping by to give Fitz a break, though he doesn't do much else other than angrily pester the Black Swan about fixing his cognate's mind, but they never give him an answer other than, "Don't worry, we have a plan." Though they always fail to tell him what that is, no matter how many times he asks. Each day is like clockwork, like time in the lost cities has come to a halt without Sophie Foster. When Alden finds information that the Black Swan could have a second Project Moonlark, Biana steps up to the plate to take on the task of finding this new kid who could be Sophie's only hope.

Meet Sophie Foster. The heir to the Ruewen crown. Adopted at age 5, she is the only kid of King Grady and Queen Edaline. But also the wildest. After sitting in court all day, pretending to be shy and weak, she becomes the Phantom. A rebel who fights Neverseen and is a boy to the public. So when the Neverseen start taking it too far, causing the people of Havenfield to be concerned. The King comes up with a solution to heal the rift between Havenfield and Everglen, the rival kingdom. In doing so, he hopes to start trade, and combine the kingdoms to work together against the Neverseen. But a simple truce is not powerful enough to bridge a feud 25 years old. So King Alden and King Grady decide how to unite the kingdoms, with their children. Forced into an arranged marriage, Fitz thinks Sophie is delicate. But Sophie is truly just making him think she is weak as a distraction to sneak away and be herself. So what will happen when Keefe and Biana become too suspicious of Fitz's betrothed? Will the Neverseen manage to take down both kingdoms? And will Sophie's secret powers and brown eyes get exposed to her fiancé?

The Neverseen have kidnapped Foster and somehow the successfully broke through her mental blockade. They erased her memories and sent her back to the forbidden cities. Sophie Foster is just a average human girl, or so she knows. Until one day, Keefe, Biana, Lihn, and Dex arrive and change everything. The Neverseen has a new plot, which implies that Foster's memories need to stay missing. Can the Sophie's friends get her memories back in time? Or will the Neverseen succeed? If their task isn't hard enough, the group has to also save Fitz from the Neverseen. They have no clue what the Neverseen has done with him. They only hoped the Neverseen hadn't done to Fitz what they did to Tam... NOT MY CHARACTERS
