Young Sockkit and Violetkit of FlameClan are delving into the journey of their lives as darkness once again threatens their clan. While Sockkit runs into trouble with his overambitious sisters, Violetkit has doubts of her own, while in MossClan, young Mistkit awaits the day she will be called to help her clan, A day that may dawn sooner than she ever dreamed.

In a different territory, far from the five Clans that we normally see, there lives five more. FlameClan, MistClan, NightClan, CloudClan, and TunnelClan. All five lived in constant battling, TunnelClan being the constant culprit for the start of said fighting. Now it is thought that TunnelClan has caused trouble once again, though they deny this. FlameClan's leader former Greystar believed them and MistClan followed FlameClan to continue their alliance. NightClan and CloudClan disagree, however, and wants to see TunnelClan punished. The culprit is right under their noses, and everycat know this. A couple of pesky apprentices must find out. Is it TunnelClan? Or is it a new threat?

Nightkit was born to Blizzardheart and Darksong both respected senior warriors and Blizzardheart is the deputy of the clan. In Nightkit's dreams a warrior walks beside guiding her advising her during a shocking revelation that goes against everything that she had believed when her father is killed in a border right with a rival clan. Whispers and rumors spread like wildfire leaving her mother no choice but to exile her. Is Nightkit to be blamed for her father's death of is someone setting her up for their own purpose and why. Cedar and Sycamore have lost everything, there parents,their home, and life as they know it. But when all hope seems lost a clan comes to their rescue. As Cedar thrives Sycamore struggles. And thinks maybe that coming to the clan was a mistake.
