It's obvious to me that she's deliberately loosening up to test if anyone will make the first move and then the big, pug- faced girl leaps at the Shadow, holding her spear sideways to attempt to hold her down. Scathach is too fast for her, she deflects the girl's spear with both of her swords, catching the attack in mid-air. She looked into to the girl's surprised face and genuinely smiled, revealing her two pointed fangs.

Sophie and Josh Newman just had the battle in Danu Talis. (Things are different in this book then what happened in the end of Nicholas Flamel series.) When they finally go home they spend their days together. One day they go on the walk on the beach looking for treasure when they stumble upon a strange object.
