Dean tells himself he would bring the kid somewhere else to stay, somewhere to live a normal life. Gemma loves her job at her local coffee shop more than anything, it's easy and comfortable. Things get a little more steamy when Jude, new to town and totally her type, wanders in one day and changes the game.

The story follows a 17 year old in his life as a student through his junior year at east highschool, through his ups and downs, and through the colored flannels that he wears.

"Shit" I cursed before taking another swig of whiskey. My eyes scanned my surroundings, searching for any sign of movement or presence amongst the pitch black. An uncertainty was hanging on my shoulders, as though someone was watching me. The eerie feel of the night made the blonde hairs on my arms stand on end. As the veil of alcohol intoxication began to lift, my eyes caught the blurry outline of a silhouetted figure.
