Unknownly, his father was killed too, and His 'father' became a whole different person because he was a different person. Eobard Thawne pretended to be Harrison Wells after killing him and his wife. Now, over 14 years later, Leo has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky student intern at S.T.A.R. Labs. A few days after Barry became the Flash, Leo discovered that he was also affected by the explosion and had become a meta-human. He discovered this when he touched Barry and felt a surge of energy course through him, granting him the ability to move at super speed just like Barry. Excited and bewildered by this newfound power, Leo realised that he could mimic and replicate other meta-humans' abilities, but only for a short period of time.
