Fledgling Stories

This is the first story that I'm actually showing people I don't know. I mostly just write privately but basically for Supernatural fans, this is about Castiel getting hit with a deaging spell and the boys have to take care of him while they look for the witch. As a side effect of the spell, Cas starts to lose his memories and reverts back into a fledgling. *I do not own the characters from supernatural* It's not really set in any kind of season, Bobby's still there at his house but it's long after the apocalypse, I even have Claire there too. It's just sort of on it's own, not following any story of the show

Soooo my first story, kind of c: - Book 1 of 3: The Sire Bond • Ivan Lamonski is your everyday average 16 year old. Or so he tries to portray... His life is actually far from normal. It's quite depressing actually. Normalcy, in his opinion, is having a family, a job, a car, partying, school, friends, etc---you know, all of those teenage life cliches you see in the movies. However, his life consists of the opposite. He lives with his distant father, he's antisocial, has no friends, and rarely goes out on his own accord. After losing his mother, he started to suffer from crippling anxiety and depression. He feels as though he has no motivation yet he has all A's and is quite lean and fit. His life was a cycle, he got up in the morning, went to school, played video games, and then slept. It went on for 4 years, but it all changes. Especially after meeting Dimitri Cyrus.

When we see our first robin we know that spring is finally here. This friendly, little robin inspired me to compose this poem for Mother's Day this year. A/N I experimented with mid line rhyme which I thought suited the narrative and spring theme.

I found this bird this summer and I tried caring for it, but I only kept it one night because it wouldn't eat or drink.

Sneak Peek: I hiss at the man who's holding me as he stretches my wing and immediately throw my claws into his arm. He's put me in just the right position to be able to slash at his inner arm. I grin ferally and watch as the man yelps in pain, blood trickling out of the deep claw marks on his arm. The scientist looks at me in surprise. "Specimen D5844 has succeeded in getting a hit on the lab assistant and seems proud of herself. Her intelligence should be monitored, in case there is more than meets the eye." I hiss at the scientist and dig my claws deeper into the lab assistant's angry red skin. He quickly drops me, letting the air flow past me and beat into my scales as I fall. I swiftly start to panic. I hadn't thought this far ahead yet.

I had a normal life. I had friends. I had a family and a home. But the keyword was: HAD. Because I was turned. I lost all that. I now have to cope with being turned into a stalker of the night. I have to learn how to deal with being a Vampire.

God made Castiel different from the rest. Unlike the other Angels Castiel was made a fledgling, meaning he had to grow up and be raised. But who would be capable of doing such business? God didn't want to do it, he never raised the Angels and he did not care to start now. He simply wanted to see how this project would turn out. So he gave this baby to none other than the trickster archangel, Gabriel. One of the worst choices possible! Or so everyone thought........

At 18, a fledgling is taken from his/her homes and into the homes of their mentor. Little do they know the mentors are hand-picked solely for them. Mentors teach them the culture of such vampires. The mentors make sure that their fledgling is ready to grace the vampiric community, as a powerful member of their society. Why do the mentors go through such measures? Because, the mentor and fledgling are soulmates.
