I hope I chose the porridge bowl, chair, and bed that's juussst riiiiiiight.) After reading “The Little Mermaid” by Hans Christian Anderson, I was intrigued and disturbed. So a year or so ago, I wrote my own rendition of the wonder tale. Originally, it was a short story critiquing that period's dominant cultural values that depicted virtue in falling in love with the superficial (predominantly regarding wealth, power, elegance and beauty). However, I decided to turn the short into a longer novel, and who knows... perhaps a series. Also, don't get "the Flounder Boy" confused with "Flounder" from Disney ;) I know. I shouldn't have done that, but... i really like the title. So bear with me!
