Running back wood trails usually meant freedom, but waking up bound to a dirty pin striped mattress, seventeen year old Samantha's world is anything but free. With a masked abductor reassuring her while he repeatedly injects her arm, she is terrified by his promise: one day she'll fall in love with him realizing too late who he truly is. Walling her heart proves difficult when eighteen year old Blake moves in next door and she discovers she may be more damaged than she'd thought. Her body's changing. She must unearth the truth behind the monster or risk experiencing worse things than just falling in love.

This is based off the same idea of'Lord of the Flies' except one thing. It takes place after this island has encountered 10 years of settling. Fast forward and twenty three year old Benjamin Stratford is now stranded and force to fit in with the 'natives' Will he survive, find out.

Their ship crashed on a primitive planet inhabited by giant predatory cats and prehistoric hominids. The only ones who survived were housed in a portion of the ship that was built more securely: the nursery.

Flash forward twenty-thirty years in the future after the boys were rescued from the island. We get to see Ralph, who is now married and lives on a cliff above a beach in Melbourne, Australia. He suffers from PTSD and has to take pills from going insane. This involves him also having imaginations and nightmares of what happened on the island. He sees his friend Piggy quite often. He wakes up and sees Piggy one day, and it won't be the last time he sees Piggy. **We read the novel "Lord of the Flies" in English II Honors. Personally, I disliked the book. However, we had to essentially write a "Chapter 13" as to how the boys come back into civilization and how their lives are affected after the island. I'm pretty proud as to how I ended the novel and I cried a bit while re-reading it, to be fairly honest. I hope you all enjoy it, and if you have any questions, please ask me on my social media!
