And he may just happen to shift into the flat right next to her's. Juggling between dance class, her mother's mood swings, a bitchy sassy wannabe cum ex best friend who's out for blood, attention from cute guys and her brothers weekly farting contests she tries to find true love while being scrutinized by her alpha dad and her gigantic orthodox Hindu family. Welcome to the not so normal life of a normal Indian girl.

In my poetry class, every Wednesday we have 'writing day', where we just spend the entire class writing in our poetry/prose journals. My teacher would always put topics on the board to get our minds going. He'd write a new topic every few minutes are so. There were things like "love's first kiss", "the smell of rain", "revenge". However, the last topic he wrote was "Smelly feet", which led me to inspiration for this short satirical poem. (:
