Melody Bricks is a 16 year old high schooler. and she literally ahs two different lives. one sad one at home, and another, fun, adventurous, and loving one with her friends. she just recently moved to a new town, and started a new school. one day her mom leaves, revealing the horrible truth of who her father really was: and abusing alcoholic. Melody's a kleptomaniac: someone who has a need to shoplift. after being caught for the last time, she's being sent to a kleptomaniac support group. also know as, rehab. there she meets he best friends and boy friend. how hard can it be to be the only responsible person in her life, have to pay the bills, pit food on the table, and support her autistic brother through the bullies in his life?
