This is a diary entry I wrote during the time of the Kerala floods. 2 years have past but I remember it clear as day. This is a one shot.

I'm a dilittante poet, as you will plainly see. But I'm versed in the language of science, and I'm alarmed by what I see. Yes, planet Earth is in peril, and the day of reckoning is near. So, I have turned to poetry, to share with you what I see, from the backdrop of my science degree. ENJOY!!!

The rainforest kingdom has always been a peaceful kingdom, nothing particularly exciting ever happening there. Queen morpho rules well, but is a bit lazy. Nothing had been troubling the rainforest... Until now. Lemur's life has been flooded my lies. Her mother was told to be alive, when in reality she be died a long time ago. She had been told that dragons did care for her, while in reality lemur one of was just the opposite. So she ran, and had been living a happy life, away from all the stuff in her life, spending time with a certain seawing animus... She had been told the rainforest was safe. She had been told it was all just fine. She had been told that there would not be any more of that rubbish about saving the world, since it would not ever need saving again. Those dragons were all wrong. They were so wrong. On the importance of Water And how it should be Balanced. The story begins with the rain god, a powerful being who lives high above the clouds in a place of pure serenity. He is depicted as a tall, handsome man with long silver hair and deep, piercing blue eyes. He is engrossed in his game, completely immersed in the digital world in front of him, and content with it. However, his peaceful world is interrupted by a loud commotion. He hears the screams of many people, filled with terror and desperation. They were pleading for something, but he couldn't quite make out what it was. He was confused, not knowing where the sounds were coming from, and why they were so loud and intense. His negligence caused a severe drought, leaving the villagers struggling to survive. In response to their prayers, the rain god brought relief and ended the drought, but soon after, he summoned too much rain causing a devastating flood. The rain god realized his mistake and apologized, promising to be more responsible in the are future. He learned to balance the needs of the people with the power of rain, and the land and people thrived in harmony.

Born into a happy family and living under the roof of her parents, Lily was living the life anybody would wish for. The money, the perfect family and happiness. Until horrid weather struck their town, flooding the whole place. But Lily was lucky, she survived. But she just doesn't know who saved her, yet.

While parts of the country remain thirsty and pray for rain, parts of the country are flooded with rainwater! The heavy rainfall in the past few days in Assam has caused a massive flood, affecting more than 43lakh people. 30 out its 33 districts are currently submerged in floodwater, more than 83,000 people are living in relief camps and the death toll has risen to 15. The flood has submerged about 90% of the Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga homes, the endangered One Horned Rhinoceros with many other species of animals and birds. Animals are forced to flee towards higher grounds. This also has led to confusion because of the potholes on the roads and ongoing traffic.
