In this story, I'm talking about my childhood. This is sincerely a touchy subject, but my words need to be said. Part 1 being my story from 0-9. More parts will be written, my story will be told, and i hope one day yours is too. Disclaimers: Please note there are some very sensitive subjects portrayed in this story such as hitting, gun violence, drugs and child protective services. This is a rough story, but one I had to live so it could be told. Child in cover is me. Thank you. Lynx, Prairie, Kestral, and Abyss. Four very different girls with very weird names. Each one was at a national disaster. Lynx was in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. Kestral was in South Dakota when the wildfires of 2005 scorched the plains. Prairie was in Alaska when an earthquake shook the land in June, 2005. Abyss was in Wyoming in 2005, when the tornados ravaged the land. In 2005, they were all 6. They were all born in the summer of 1999. Floods and storms follow Lynx, while landslides and earthquakes follow Prairie. Abyss seems to be stalked by tornados and windstorms; fires and volcanic eruptions follow Kestral. What happens when they meet the summer of their 18th birthday?
