One conversation-- one single moment-- will change the lives of a girl and her boyfriend forever... ----- My friend suggested that I should title this story, "Read This if You Want to be Stabbed in the Heart". 😂 I wrote this to enter into the #midnightsunmovie contest. There was a word limit, so the story may be a bit rushed.

I nervously took the mic into my trembling hands- which I had no idea to why it was trembling. I had done a few speeches, including the valedictorian speech in front of a much larger audience- and then it struck me. The trembling was not out of fear of the audience. But the fear of myself. Alex wasn't very excited about becoming an Avenger. Well, she tries not to be. In truth, she dreams about an event where she's making out with Doctor Strange while standing in the smoke and fire that is the result of her stopping an alien invasion and saving the Earth. And although she will never taste the lips of that handsome, magical man, there is one thing she will taste, that she never has expected: That is, said victory after an alien invasion (minus the doctor). But before that, she must taste something even more dangerous: A fish taco.
