In 1923, a scientist by the name of Alfons Heiderich was shot and killed during a Nazi skirmish in a German Factory; his dream unrealized and his research seemingly forgotten. Until now. In the present, Lorelai "Rory" Gilmore, a young journalist, has recently ended her job as a political campaign writer for the Presidential race and is struggling to find a fresh story. During a requested Gilmore family trip to Europe, she stumbles upon Alfons Heiderich's scientific schematics and unsent letters that are addressed to a man named "Edward". Though Rory may have found the discovery of a lifetime, she soon realizes that these writings are more than meets the eye. Now, Rory must make the decision if the world is ready to know an existence of a parallel world that is ruled by a power called "Alchemy" or if it was better off buried in the past. More problems arise when she crosses paths with a strange golden-eyed, blonde haired man, who claims to be the one of whom the letters are inscribed to. Sometimes, the "Truth" should really just be left alone. ---- Based on the first Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 series. Set after the events of the Conqueror of Shamballa movie and after 7th Season of Gilmore Girls. Warnings: Unlikely Crossover Fanfiction. hello! for my senior year of high school, my english teacher had us read Dante's Inferno, and then create our own Inferno based off real life or another type of media. so, i chose my favorite anime, Fullmetal Alchemist. in this story/essay, Ed Elric (the Dante of this story) travels with his father, Hohenheim (Virgil) through the Gates of Truth and witnesses the punishments that awaited those he met throughout his lifetime.

Two weeks after Edward Elric's eighteenth birthday he moves in with his new friend Alfons Heidrech in Munich, Germany. While living together and studying rocketry under Dr Oberth, Alfons listens to the strange stories Edward tells. About his real home. First he sees these as mere silly stories but as time goes by Alfons begins to wander if what Edward says is the truth. Meanwhile for Edward, it's been almost two years since he past through the gate, separated from his friends, his brother and his lover Roy Mustang. To a new world where he only knew his father Hoenhiem who left on the night of Edward's birthday. Not knowing what to do, scared and simply lost. Edward stays with the young man who resembles his younger brother Alphonse. As he is the only one he trusts, until he meets a certain former colonel. A Roy x Ed fanfiction

An after story to the end of FMA 2003. Kinda follows the overall plot of the movie apparently, but I never watched it so this is entirely free-form. Al awoke confused, the feeling of air surrounding him curious. He was alive. But where was his brother? A turn of events brought Al back from beyond the gates, but with no recollection of his time spent after he and his brother tried to resurrect their mother. With determination Al sets off on his own adventure to find remnants of philosopher stones as he and his brother once had before but along with the curious Wrath who survived. Opposite them in a distant realm Ed had found his footing in the still unfamiliar country of Germany. He attempts to find his father and make a plan on how to possibly get back home. But the world he is in is even stranger when familiar faces show up in the form of his friends and relatives. Not to mention the fact that Envy was somewhere free upon the world he now inhabited, but it turns out that an encounter reveals the homunculus' boredom with the alchemy-less world. Could the two of them put their differences aside, without Envy killing him or Hohenheim, and actually come up with a plan to get back home? Follow the paths the four of them take to reach each other on either side of The Gate! Or may they end up in the middle? Perhaps this journey might end in an all out apocalypse with the death of each other and thousands of others? Let's find out together in this tale of split worlds! To be honest I instantly came up with this idea after I finished Fma 03' at midnight one day, including the name which I came up with no later than 3 minutes after the episode finished on a whim and it stuck. I think it's creative, although it makes it sound primarily gearing towards Ed and Envy's adventure than Al and Wrath's.
