The year was 1983, summer had just ended and school was about to begin. Hope fluttered in the young Ryan Marshall's step and he wandered up to his new school. It was smaller than his old one, and it seemed like most people already knew each other. His anxiety was building as he entered the crowded school. Cliques huddled into circles gossiping and giggling. His chest tightened with anxiety when he realized there was nearly nobody that wasn't already in a group. Well, Nearly. There was a boy who sat alone.
