Whitty caught her just as she fell. He ran his hand over her forehead. "You can't leave me too." Tears were starting to come to his eyes. "Please." She shook her head sadly. "I... can't fight it. I'm sorry." A teardrop formed at the corner of her eye. It fell slowly towards the ground, breaking on the packed dirt. "If I don't make it..., can I tell you something first?" Whitty nodded. "I think... I love you." She whispered. Whitty's heart caught in his throat. When he spoke, he found he could not bring his voice to over a whisper. "I love you too."
