In the Pre-World, everyone got Stands by being born with them or being stabbed by a Stand Arrow. Now... In the Post-World... Your Stand is the embodiment of what killed you. Or... At least what should've killed you. Chances of what kills you to become your Stand are slim. Though many people may die the same way, there are some exceptions. For example, if someone who died by... Radiation Poisoning by water and they obtain a Stand that is about Radioactive Water, if they died and someone were to die the same way, they have a chance of obtaining that Stand. But like I said, chances of what kills you to become your Stand are slim. Basically, Stands don't work the way they used to... Before the bombs dropped...

The commonwealth is an awful place, not one step is taken without fear and not one gunshot heard without anxiety washing over. A short story depicting Nora's first experience in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout. This short story takes place shortly before the beginning of Fallout: Nevada - Rehabilitation (another story I'm working on, which will take much MUCH longer).

She was nothing to a lot of people. Her choices were poor. The direction of her life was not going in a way that she wanted. But she accepted it. She had her friends, her jobs, her routine. But of course it all changed when the bombs fell. After emerging from Vault 111, what does Rebekah plan to do? Radiation, Ghouls, Super Mutants, Synths and more now cover the Commonwealth. Wandering around, she finds friends, enemies, and complete dysfunction. But it's exactly what she needed. Eventually her purpose will be found, but it may not be what she expected. Raiders, Brotherhood, Gunners, Institute, Railroad, and Minutemen. Which path will she choose? ((I own none of the characters other than Rebekah. It's a fan fiction story which is why it's different than the actual game. Surprising, I know. Read the damn tags before you comment on anything I write. Other than that, enjoy!))
