Between one count and the next, there is always a moment that no one sees. Because not everything that matters can be counted. For Dia and Noah, that space would become something neither of them expected, something that slowly found its way into the lives they had carefully built. "What happens between the counts?" Noah looked at her. "Us."

Freya was never meant to be more than the assistant-the one behind the clipboard, the schedules, the perfectly timed coffee runs that keep a tour alive. Invisible by design. Professional by necessity. But when you spend every day backstage, every night under stage lights, and every quiet moment in the spaces between songs, lines begin to blur. Bad Omens is everything the world sees them as: intense, magnetic, untouchable. What no one sees is how each of them watches Freya when they think no one's looking. The glances held a second too long. The hands that linger. The words left unsaid because saying them would change everything. Freya feels it-the tension, the pull, the impossible gravity of being wanted by people she's sworn not to want back. Because this isn't a love story that's allowed to exist. It's a secret stretched thin across tour buses, green rooms, and late-night conversations that feel far too intimate to be harmless. And eventually, something has to give.
