India has its fair share of stories that may not have a logical explanation but continue to arouse our curiosity to this day. These are similar to the existence of the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland and the bigfoot, both of which people have not been able to explain. A few claim to have experienced them, while others think of different theories to justify their existence. Here are some legends that have some Indians convinced that the supernatural works in the most mysterious of ways.

In the vast sweltering desert, lies a small village just on the edge of an oasis. It was dubbed the “Resting Spot” for travelers and wanderers to rest. The village is known for their deluge of bizarre anthologies consisting of ancient, fictional folklore, fantasy, mystery, and many other stories. Some say their library is so capacious that visitors who go there, never return for they are grappled and eaten by the indulging words of the many tales. As generations pass, people avert their interests and use of the village, for many are frightened by the many disappearances. Soon enough, everyone forgot all about the “haunted village” and the way to the small settlement. Until one young boy came across it. ------ This story was a school assignment I had to do so thought I might share it to you all :) And since its my first story, all the more to share it :D I have altered and lengthened the story slightly so it can be more descriptive than the original. During the reign of Anaivere the First, she was called as the most beloved monarch. During the reign of Henry the Third, she was mentioned as the forgotten legend.
