James Hill is an ordinary 20-something Yalie. While incredibly book smart, he has to work two jobs during the summer and maintain his Internet presence to earn enough money for surviving. Well-known in both online writing and video creation communities, his reputation has been somewhat tainted by various incidents - from his own arrogance to a messy set of affairs involving a pair of rivals named Augusta and Betty. Still, James has been getting by relatively well. Then Lacy comes in. Lacy has a crush on James. She is also everything he hates. She's spirited and eclectic and unfiltered. She wants to make it somewhere in content creation - whether that's in music or writing. And she won't change who she is at heart just to fit in with her publication mutuals. Thus, James seizes this opportunity to sabotage Lacy's prospects. But it won't be all fun and games... (While there are unreliable tabloid rumors about the identity of Olivia Rodrigo's Lacy, my story is not intended to replicate true events - be they those of her or me. My story is also only very loosely inspired by Taylor Swift's Folklore love triangle and the former, so do not expect a lot of similarities).

My version of the folklore love triangle! James wants to believe he has everything he has ever wanted; the girl of his dreams. Although, it still does not feel enough. She is perfect yet his heart can't seem to decide if she's his endgame. His heart is in utter conflict but he pushes the thoughts to the back of his mind. His relationship works out for many months but all the ignored thoughts come crashing back when the girl he liked years back returns. Betty's life is a mess all apart from the one thing that truly matters, the love of her life, James. If a year back someone had told her that she would be deeply in love, she would have called them crazy but here she was, truly and deeply in love with the best person ever. And James loved her back just as much, and even more. Or so she thought. Augustine is in despair when she has to move schools in the middle of the year but she realizes it might not be so bad after all since her childhood friend, James goes to the same school. She never meant to ruin anything. But it all hit her too late. Each character makes a mistake that becomes an even greater mistake. Over the course of the story each character is left with broken hearts and a love triangle that can't be fixed. ____________________________________________________________________________ author's note - this is based on real life events that happened to me mixed with fiction so it might not fulfill all the theories seen on different platforms. It would still mean a lot if you guys read this <3 I think it is a must to mention that English is my third language so excuse my questionable skills.
