      Bab 5
They say a basket woven in haste will never stay full - but she believed her hands were steady enough to prove them wrong. When a young Sylren weaver sets out to create something lasting, she weaves deeper than she intends: threads of pride, longing, and the faint shimmer of crystal meant to strengthen her work. Yet each morning, no matter what she placed inside, the basket stood empty again. At first she blamed the vines. Then the village. Then the stories told by older hands about crafts that remember their makers. But as the season waned and her failures grew heavier, she began to suspect the basket was only holding what her heart could carry - and no more. In a land where twilight hums through every root and crystal thread, The Basket That Wouldn't Empty tells a story of work and worth, of learning when to hold tight and when to let go. A quiet Sylren folktale about pride, renewal, and the things that can only be filled once we learn to empty ourselves first.

I am Chiedza. I don't remember my real Amai. All I know is that one day, a long long time ago, when I was just but a little girl, there had been sad and mournful singing at our house. I vaguely remember people coming to pat my back or hug me to their bosoms, whispering, "It'll be alright." I remember, vaguely too, their whispers, "He is a man. How will he take care of a young girl on his own?" I also remember standing by the mound of soil that had hugged and hidden my real Amai, my hand in Baba's, and Baba crying. But as for my real Amai, I remember nothing. Not her scent. Not her laughter. Not her voice. Nothing. Almost as if she never existed.

      Bab 8
Prologue In the remote wilderness of Northern Ontario, Rembrandt Wyatt and his five friends-Kaitlyn, Aaron, Sophie, Ravi, and Lina-embarked on a life-changing gap year adventure, drawn together by their desire to escape the mundane and explore the unknown. The group arrived at a secluded cabin near Red Lake, eager to immerse themselves in the beauty and mystery of the land, where ancient legends of the Wendigo whispered through the wind. As they settled in and shared stories around the campfire, excitement mingled with an undercurrent of unease; the forest, vast and foreboding, seemed to watch them with knowing eyes, hinting that the tales of old were not just fiction but a prelude to the chilling experiences that awaited them. Little did they know, their adventure would soon blur the lines between reality and myth, plunging them into a fight for survival against an insatiable darkness.

this is not my story, it belongs to the great book "The Crane Wife", by the amazing writer Patrick Ness. this story explains the life of one of the main characters, called Kumiko (aka the crane wife), told by herself in 32 parts. even though there are 32 chapters, they're all very short, so you can read it all at once. i would really recommend the book, it really is amazing. also, the book and this story are based on a Japanese folktale, also called the Crane Wife. hope you like it ;)
