Joining a Wattpad community for the first time is like falling into spring - refreshing, but also all-consuming. It is more than a pastime or a shiny, new hobby. They connect us when we are worlds apart, through the good, the bad and the ugly. In this new collection, join me on a journey through my time in communities and the work I have done over the last five years. Here's to many more to come.

Moving into a nice house in a newly developed suburban neighborhood sounds nice, but when Hazel and her mom move into her mom's new boyfriend's townhome, Hazel is devastated. The last thing she wanted to do was leave their big house out in the country, one of her only reminders of her dad. But when he died and left them without a way to earn money, things went downhill fast. Hazel's awkward, introverted personality is a stark contrast to her new friends in Hedgefair, Iowa, a small, newly developed, neighborhood at the edge of the Des Moines. Zoey and Connor are both outgoing and social, with striking, single family homes they live in with their parents. However, when a set of strange footprints starts appearing on both of their properties, Hazel is suddenly thrust into the middle of a mystery crazier than she ever thought a summer in the suburbs could be. When the trio discovers a plot to kidnap one of them for ransom, they make sure to find everything they can about the mysterious kidnapper leaving footprints around the neighborhood. But waking up in a field in the middle of nowhere with no knowledge of how they got there or who brought them there was not part of the plan. The friends are forced to find out as much as they can about what's going on without ever even knowing where they are or when they got there, which proves a challenge for even all three of them. Ash Luna thinks she might just go crazy for good if one more string in her family snaps. Her belief in the ability of man to be truly kind is something short of nonexistent: she can't trust anyone anymore. So when Pike, a carefree and dangerously handsome boy, shows up in her life and turns her heart upside down, she faces the choice of letting him in or letting him go. Can she find it in herself to not only help those around her, but pick up the pieces of her own heart and glue them back together?

I'm sometimes touched by how weak and fragile we humans are - crippled by disease or mental illness or freak accidents that are beyond our control, yet how great we can be especially when united, working towards a great act. But however strong or weak we deem ourselves to be, we all seem to share one thing- we all want to be remembered. Sometimes it's not so much death we fear but the mark we leave on those that get left behind.

"Footprints in the Sand" is a reflective and heartfelt story about a father's daily walk with his young son to school, set against the backdrop of a desert landscape. Through their shared journey, the father contemplates the impermanence of life, the passage of time, and the deep bond between parent and child. As the footprints in the sand fade and reappear, the story reveals a profound meditation on legacy, love, and finding meaning in life's simplest moments.
