Rin Karmari is a teenage girl who expresses herself through writing. At the beginning of her Freshman year, she is thrown from the little part of safety she knew. The world she knew, her hometown, becomes foreign in a move that shatters her life. She sinks into deep depression and cuts off ties to all she knows; leaving herself unseen, unheard. Even though she makes herself alone on purpose, a boy named Tenshi in her theatre production class reaches out to her in small ways. Without even realizing it she starts to fall in love with him. Struggling to stay hidden and cut her tie to this boy, she turns to the world of VR MMORPGs. In the world of Abyyss Online she expresses herself through her alter self that only lived in her notebook before. She becomes Yume Kage. In game she suddenly meets a character named Kise. Kise professes to love her within a week of meeting her, which makes her worry. Tenshi is a high school student who has grown up in the same area his entire life. He has never experienced love in his life. Then one year a silent girl moves into his area. She ends up being in the same theatre production class as him, and he starts reaching out to help her. She doesn't let him into her life though, even though he can there is a wound in her heart. Distraught, he immerses himself into VR MMORPGs. He becomes Kise, a man not afraid to try and destroy anyone in his path. But in his path of destruction, he meets a girl in the game Abyyss Online who changes everything. Yume Kage; an amazing, beautiful, fearless and strong girl. Within a week he falls in love with her, but this girl won't let him either. He is determined to win her heart though, and continues to try and reach her. Two people, knowing their own identities in the real world and in Abyyss Online. Two hearts meant to help heal each other and their own dark pasts. A square of love that smashes into reality, becoming a threat to both's existence. How will they learn to heal their hearts?
