{Set after The Last Jedi - skip to chapter 8 if you're not very interested in reylo and want to start with action} A month has passed since Kylo Ren let the Resistance escape. During this time the Resistance have been living in an underground base, training with their new hightech weapon, while the First Order have been hunting them down and threatening to diminish the Republic if they do not come out of hiding. With Supreme Leader Kylo Ren's orders to find Rey and bring her to him, he will then be successful in killing the last jedi and the jedi religion. With the Resistance not being able to leave base and Rey not knowing she has a bounty on her head, will the First Order finally succeed in ruling the galaxy?

After Crait, the Resistance is all but decimated. It will take time before they regain the strength and numbers to be anything more than an annoyance to the First Order. In the meanwhile, the Force bond between Rey and the new Supreme Leader not only continues but grows. They begin to be able to see one another's surroundings, touch things... and as the bond grows, so does their relationship. Mutual distrust becomes begrudging acceptance. Then a strange sort of friendship. And then... well... ;) Post TLJ Reylo fanfic; VERY Rey/Ben centric; will focus almost exclusively on times when the bond brings them together; A VERY patient slow burn that devotes a lot of time to character development. COMPLETE.

"So this is what the galaxy listens to nowadays, hm?" Cal's eyes flew open, startled as he heard Dagan scoff at his music. The critic glared at Kestis, clearly amused by the Jedi's immersion. "What? You have something against The Agasar?" Cal teased, a playful tone to his voice. He peered around the table so he could view the other. Dagan strode up to the stage and rested his hand on the edge, looking off to the side in thought as he contemplated the tune. "Would you take offense if I did?" He leaned closer to Cal in play-intimidation, eying him from below. "Because the industry fell off if this is the kind of music you..." **Spoiler for The Last Jedi** Post TLJ. Recovery from the war is taking a toll on both Rey and Kylo Ren, and as much as they try to avoid each other, their connection continues to bind the two together. But with every passing moment, they begin to realize the only comfort they find is in each other. After all, it's hard to suffer alone when the cure is only one call away.

Her brows furrowed as he spoke out the words, she didn't understand, what promise ?Wasn't Luke supposed to be on the good path ? "I will destroy you and all of it".

As the pair continue their battle of the force bond, only time will tell how long their masks will remain untouched.The fight for justice looming over their heads, the faces of light and dark meet in the middle to find the balance of the Force. Why does this keep happening? What is this invisible force that keeps connecting us? Who is this strange man with a black mask, that I keep feeling this pull towards? I already have a part 2 written! And I'll publish it if people like part 1! :)

"We're bonded by fate. Not by will. Now can you stop complaining, Rey?" - Being in opposing sides, it's a complicated thing. But when you're bonded, and connected to each other, that's something on a whole new level. Well, not to mention Force Bonds that are now harder to cut off, or Force Bonds that show up double the frequency than before, and Force Bonds that repeatedly happen on their awkward situations.
