Katy swallowed tears, opening her mouth to say something, but he cut her off. “I’m done!” he cried with abandon and then he disappeared in the oblivious mass of dancing teenagers. Maddix was compelled to chase after him, but her feet were like lead. Instead, they were wordless and heavy and stood still in the midst of the dance floor.

14 year old Taylor became blind at nine years old from a freak accident after she got lost in the woods. She had been bullied her whole life for being different one one day decided to run away although when she wakes up one day in the forrest and does't know she got there she beings to panic. She also meets an unexpected friend who teaches who trust, loyalty and the true meaning of friendship.

The mare clenched her teeth together trying to ease away the pain. She pawed at the mosey forest flaw, the moon spilling its blood rays down upon the chestnut Asklepion's back. She was the last one of her type and couldn't let the humans get hold of her or they would whip her like they did with her herd. She was in pain. it cut through her like a dagger. She felt the cold night air through the gapes between her teeth sucking in to relief the pain. until she heard the howl of the beast through the trees.

Hank has always admired his sister's bravery, even when it got them into trouble. But when Hailey's curiosity brings them face to face with death Hank will have to step up or they'll both wind up dead.
