When 19-year-old Charlie Devland is wheeled off to the hospital after being stabbed at an ex-classmate's house party, his childhood best friend and college boyfriend Salem P. Witchunt's world comes crashing down around him. Meanwhile, when self-proclaimed "Detective Extraordinaire" Cynthia Nolan finds out about the case, she feels as if her life has just begun. As the two ponder the case, learn more about the suspects, and hunt for answers, they both find that not everything is as clear as anticipated, and not everyone is what they seem. ----- Despite the fact that I wrote this for an assignment, this is my first somewhat completed book! While it was pretty rushed and, as a result, a very rough template of what I'd like it to be someday, my friends wanted to read it and I didn't want to make them wait an eternity for me to go out and publish it as an actual book (or, possibly, the first arc of a webcomic?). So, here it is! The first draft of Trouble at the Townhouse on Terremont Way! Constructive criticism is always welcome, as I'm always trying to improve my work! (Just keep in mind that "your story sucks" isn't constructive criticism.) (Also, apparently Wattpad shares these stories with more readers if I add a bunch of tags, so please tell me if I should add/remove any of them!) Cover art by me (somewhat, the background image is from Google; I just cropped it and added text); I originally drew the cover, and I only changed it because I didn't feel like the old one fit the vibe of the rest of the site. Once I learn how to do digital art and I don't have to take pictures of my covers in dimly lit rooms, I'll probably make a fully original cover again.

Ashley Quincy-Brownon is a twenty-two-year-old waitress in Los Angeles. She looks and acts like any typical Valley Girl, to anyone who doesn't know her, using her looks to do anything she'd like. Behind her Barbie-like looks and personality lies a detective. With a best friend in the LAPD, she can get authorization to any case she wants, so when she receives a text from her friend, telling her to head to a crime scene, she finds it normal. There, she finds only one clue, a fingerprint. She thinks it is hopeless when she meets the shady gardener. Oddly, he keeps popping up, with a motive, at all the other crime scenes. To add to the mix, all the victims have a weird neighbor, so Ashley knows something is just not right. Will she find the culprit before he strikes again?
