Set as a prequel to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado" This originally started off as a narrative essay for my summer school English class. I thought I would share it with you all. Hope you like it! I don't own any of the characters in the story(except for the Wife). Cover made by Me! I hope it isn't too terrible 😅

We have all heard or read of the original story of "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe, however; what exactly happened to Montresor that caused him to seek revenge against Fortunato? This is my story of a "before" version to one of Poe's greatest pieces of literature.

Abused, used, and he still loves him. Does dignity cross the line with love? BoyxBoy It's 1840 when a Vineyard owner named Fortunato crossed the line with his lover Montresor. A truly obsessive lover and his abuser bump heads; what happens when both say No? My version of what was Fortunato's betrayal to Montresor in Edgar Allan Poe's "the cask of Amontillado". In the 1800s there was heavy discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community if fortunate enough one might have found a lover.

After the events of the carnival, and Montresor's attempt at Fortunato's demise, Montresor hears word of Fortunato's return. Little does he know, Fortunato is back for revenge, and will stop at nothing to get it. But the 21st century is vastly different from 18th century Italy. Due to a series of unfortunate events, word of Fortunato's return escapes and someone from his past has alternative motives for revenge. hi hi *^*)/ so this is just a story i made through my dark eras so my grammar is out of the question people! we aint perfect so thanks for not ranting to me my poor grammar. this story i updated from when i last wrote it in amino. its about my interests on how the world's most bad luck girl gets to live her enternity with the grim repear instead of burning in hell with the other souls. imma try and update every 2 weeks. and im just doing this for fun and for the sake my story wont die with just chapter one. so yeah. have fun and i appreciate honesty but dont rant.. its just disrespectful when done like in twitter.
