Gotham's foster care system was broken, but both Robin and Avalanche experienced the system first hand. Neither expected to meet up four to five years later. Disclaimer - I don't own Young Justice or X-Men Evolution. I also wish to clarify a misconception - that the only way a kid can end up in juvi is by delinquent behavior. A kid can be either an offender, or a non-offender. Sometimes the get put together because the system is broken, other times because the area only has the one facility. Gotham falls under broken system. And yes, the first Robin was in juvi before Batman managed to take him in. That is canon fact, not fanon like some think.

After aging out of the foster system with nothing but survival instincts and a pit bull heart, Nia Lewis is determined to turn her pain into purpose. With a two-bedroom apartment, a loyal Cane Corso named Zeus, and a dream to earn her cosmetology license, she's clawing her way out of the past. But when a mysterious letter reveals that her real family were wealthy drug lords, Nia's life twists into a deadly maze of secrets, betrayal, and legacy. She's pulled into a world of power vacuums, street politics, and corrupt city officials-and suddenly, she's not just surviving. She's leading. With a crew of unlikely allies, a haunted past, and the streets watching her rise, Nia must choose: rebuild the city that broke her, or rule it from the top. This is a story of grit, trauma, sisterhood, loyalty, Black excellence, and the fine line between justice and vengeance.

Cinder or should I say Archery is a 16 year old girl in the foster care system. She deals with everyday struggles such as an abusive foster mother and mean kids at school. Despite this she stays strong and has her sister Ella who helps her as much as possible! She also makes some friends along the way. A/N: I am writing this story hoping that people realize that this is REALISTIC fiction. Meaning all the abuse and bullying can happen in real life and there should always be someone there to help prevent it or at least make it better for the victim. Also it goes to show how messed up the foster care system is and how it needs to be changed! Book Cover by: @bullshitisme She's awesome go check her out!

You have a voice. One that hasn't been heard. Or had and ignored. It is there and it is powerful. Speak it. For the right causes. Not for the news or the fame. For the gossip or the propaganda. For you, snd the people that know exactly how you feel but can't say it. To control of what you have. To motivate a person, a group, a society, a nation. Your truths are loud, your voice is powerful. So I use my voice in the poem or piece. And speck my truth. Though actions are louder then words, I would scream these is necessary. Don't let society's rules mute your words.
