Christina goes to the public high school in their town and invites tris to a high school party. After begging tris do come, tris finally decides to join Christina at this party. Tris stands off in the corner most of the night while Christina hangs with her boyfriend, until she meets Tobias Eaton, a well loved popular quarterback at the high school. What happens when the two meet... what does it become?

Tris has been dancing all her life, following the dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer when she's older. But her dream was crushed when she moved in with a man called Peter, her boyfriend. A violent and manipulative lawyer who has mistreated and damaged Tris beyond repair. She now works in a diner with her old school friend, Marlene. Following the same routines and serving the same obnoxious people everyday. Until she comes across a group of teenagers and a mysterious blue eyed man. Will they be able to help her escape Peter? Maybe even bring her dream back to life? Or will they make things worse and complicate things?

What if Tris and Tobias had been together before he transferred? What if when Tris transferred he was waiting for her? What if Tris had never had her seventh fear? What if on her first night in Dauntless Tris had gone to Tobias's apartment? How would Divergent have been different if Tris was pregnant during initiation.
