Ophelia Enger was a normal girl living in district five. A kind but poor family working in the power district. Her dad works at the dam while her mom stays home to take care of her and Julia, her sibling. Ophelia has gotten the reputaion of being the sweet kind girl, but what happens when she gets reaped for the hunger games at only 12 years old. Will she change, or will she forever stay the sweet girl until death.

Before the Mockingjay, before Katniss's volunteering, before Prim's name was chosen, even before the 74th Hunger Games, was the 73rd. The 73rd Hunger Games was just another riveting Games for the Capitol, but to the girl know in the 74th only as Foxface, it was so much more. Because, in the 73rd, Leyra was one of the chosen girls. Because, in the 73rd, it was her older sister who was chosen.

The tributes of the 74th Hunger Games are brought back to life. None of the tributes know why they have been revived by the Capitol. This story takes place one year after Katniss and Peeta won the Hunger Games, right before the 75th Hunger Games are to be announced. Will the careers have a change of heart? Can the tributes work together to escape the custody of the Capitol?

The story of Cato and Clove before and throughout the Hunger Games. Cato: I've known who she was since I was ten. Since I was ten, I watched over her. I looked after her. I protected her even if she didn't know it was me. I love her. And I will do anything to save her because she saved me first. Clove: He's an arrogant, rich prick. I should hate him. But I don't. Instead, I feel drawn to him. I recognize him from somewhere, but I can't put my finger where I first saw him. He may be three years older than me, but I'm his biggest competition. In a world of pain and despair, two kids navigate their life while figuring out the true meaning of love and hate. Their sheer will to fight pushes them forward as they attempt to achieve one goal: survive.
