This is my X-files FanFic about Mulder and Scully...and how it should have ended. This happens a few years after the season 8 finale...assuming that seasons 9,10,and 11 never happened. I know there are some good parts, but I prefer to think of it like this, at least when it comes to our heros. Hope you enjoy! I know enjoyed writing it.

FBI agent Fox Mulder is working a case, just like any other he has. Then he meets Avery, a nineteen year old girl who witnessed the crime he is investigating. Avery ends up having to take refuge at his apartment, as part of her protective custody. She begins to take a liking to the agent and she couldn't imagine anywhere else she'd feel more safe, than with him. Mulder takes a liking to the girl as well, feeling especially protective over her. His partner Scully takes the lead on the case and he personally watches over Avery.

"And then I heard this wonderful voice that I can no longer listen to, even though I would like to." What would happen if Dana Scully woke up to Fox Mulder crying as he hugged her in the hospital? Would their love story have started sooner? My interpretation of what could happen in Season 5 Episode 2 - "Redux II"

This is another X-Files fanfiction, set in This Is Not Happening. (s8, e14) I wanted to create a poetic view inside Scully's mind, portraying her thoughts and feelings during the last scenes of this episode. I thought it was stunningly heartbreaking, and wanted to see if I could achieve the same emotion in my own story. It's a little experiment, and it may or may not be successful.

Mulder is kidnapped by a female serial killer that has made her way into the X-Files. But the problem is, unlike usual, Scully doesn't rush in last minute and save him. She doesn't come and snatch him away from the horror. Nor does she come an hour late. Nor does she come the next day, even. In fact, she doesn't save him until a week later. A week of torture, pain, and constant fear. A week of constantly expecting Scully to kick the door down and save him. A week that destroys Fox Mulder's mind. In the Spring of 1995, A murder in Southern California grabs the attention of Agent Mulder. A victim with a unusual birthmark is linked to other victims from the 1960's & 70's. But what's more unusual is Mulder believes the murderer has the same birthmark. What links the victim and the murderer to a horrible crime committed during the Civil War?
