The dead hand of history still grips the throat of the present. Three centuries after a meteor shower devastated Earth, humanity is divided. The powered are blamed for the virus that killed billions and twisted the natural world into something deadly. Feared and hated, they are sent into the wilds to fight the mutations that now threaten what remains. Ezra has spent his life resisting that division. As a doctor, he believes every life is worth saving. After a grueling shift, he comes home to find a wounded stranger collapsed on his floor. Saving the man is instinct. What follows is not. The choice pulls Ezra into a hidden war where old hatred still shapes the present, and the truth behind the world's ruin may be more dangerous than the monsters outside the city walls.

Each poem in this collection is a shard: born from a passing image, a sound, a silence - caught before it vanished. No architecture. No continuity. Only the moment of fracture, held still.
