When newcomer Richard Papen comes to Hempden and meets Julian Morrow's grecophiles and when Richard finds out happened on the faithful night of their bacchanal, everything goes downhill from there. ‼️I do not own any of the characters in this book except Angelina. All rights of the secret history and characters belong to the very talented author Donna Tartt.‼️

With a hole in the roof and a teacher out of town, Richard has to get saved by dear old Henry for winter break- Same as how the story goes. However, things go a bit differently than expected when going home with Henry. - Although a bit for shipping, this is mostly to just build upon their character dynamic in general! I really loved that The Secret History wasn't really about romance, so don't expect anything overly mushy! Although, it's in character, it is a cannon divergent retelling which starts after Henry saves Richard from being a frozen popsicle

❝Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry I'm setting off, but not without my muse❞ Henry always liked to take care of flowers, and Liliana Alarie was one flower that he would take care of for forever.

A series of imagines/one shots based on The Secret History, mostly involving Henry Winter. To Indeed Be A God A drowsy morning at the country house with Henry involves a row around the lake, a breakfast picnic, and falling asleep in the boat. No Such Thing As Ghosts An affair with Henry Winter culminates in a secret meeting in a graveyard during the first snow of winter - with an unwanted guest. Ut Pulvis Omnia Reditus (Everything Returns To Dust) What happened directly after the tragic end of a core member of the Greek class? See it all from the eyes of an important observer - the partner of Mr Henry Winter.

"She is leaning onto Death, which holds her back from falling, but he could also be taking her with him." "Care and malice have similar masks." βΊβ€§β‚ŠΛš ཐི⋆♱⋆ཋྀ Λšβ‚Šβ€§βΊ Indeed, indeed, I cannot tell, Though I ponder on it well, Which were easier to state, All my love or all my hate. Surely, surely, thou wilt trust me When I say thou dost disgust me. O, I hate thee with a hate That would fain annihilate; Yet sometimes against my will, My dear friend, I love thee still. It were treason to our love, And a sin to God above, One iota to abate Of a pure impartial hate. ~ Henry David Thoreau, to Ellen Sewall ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Β« Forgive me, for all the things I did but mostly for the ones I did not. Β» - Francis Abernathy, The Secret History by Donna Tartt. One-shot book for Francis Abernathy and Richard Papen. !! I do not own any of the characters !! Extra notes that I wanted to add: You thought this was going to be a book where Richard is the oh-so-perfect boyfriend and doesn't use the inner monologue that much? Well, if that's so, you're WRONG. His inner monologue is very annoying, just like in the actual book, because we need an #edgy Richard. He also romanticises everything (just like he does in the book) because I do that too and I want to use it as an opportunity to romanticise everything! Did you also think I was going to make Francis full of confidence, with stong will, self respect and no trauma dumps? You're WRONG AGAIN. He is an INFP, I wrote him as an INFP (derogatory). He is going to cry at least once in this book because I love the hurt/comfort/hurt/comfort trope!!

Henry Winter had always been an imposing, emotionless figure. But all is bound to change when a girl who reminds him of a lost sheep transfers into his precious Ancient Greek class. Will he pause his plans for her or will his murderous urges be too strong?
