It consists of 24 stanzas written in Mary's point of view. Here we witness Francis and Mary's journey together, as they face trials that test their will, strength, and love. That even when sent to the limits of their own, continued to stand side by side, tying them together forever. This is a poem of their undying love.

Mary has lived in poverty ever since she was born. She has a mysterious past and two men that have completely fallen in love with her. But her life is full of tragedy, and she realizes that if she wants to stop suffering, she needs to be the queen of her own heart. She will have to choose between love and portection; money and happiness.

I take my final look out into the crowd. To think, my last sight will be of pity. Of the people I once ruled, but now they rule me. My eyes scan them over once more, committing each face to memory. Until I see him.
