In the year 1955, the relentless surge of shapeshifters in the southern region compelled the government to sever Arbor Vale from the outside world. Marika Nowakis is a young woman who was found as the last surviving person of the biggest Doppelgänger incident of 1954. The D.D.D. rescued her and granted her shelter. In exchange she has to work as the doorwoman for an apartment complex with many people and many secrets. Her one job is to not let any Doppelgängers in. That would mean death. For everyone. Or maybe not? Hahahaha.. haha... ha you didn't hear that. Her one job is to keep everyone safe and hopefully get to know her neighbours well. She will. A bit too well maybe. But keep it professional, no flirting here. If she still does, she should be good at keeping it a secret. Let's hope none of the Doppelgängers fall in love with her and none of her neighbours reveal their dark backstories. After all, everything is fine here, is it?
