Between the rivalry of two punk rockers, a little road trip and even more confusing feelings, things don't always turn out the way you think they will.

He hated himself and wanted nothing more than to die and join her. But the only way a Vampire can die is at the hands of a Slayer and Slayers haven't stepped foot in California since the War. One fateful day, Gerard bumps into a girl by the name of Nyxia Lacey. He instantly knows there's something different about her, and after a little snooping, he discovers that Nyxia is a Slayer. But here's the thing, there's no such thing as female Slayers, and her last name suggests that she a descendant of one of the most infamous and ruthless Slayer families in American history, a family that was killed off decades ago. Nyxia doesn't know that she's a Slayer, and she has no knowledge that she's a walking impossibility. Despite what all other Vampires would've done, which is kill her on sight, Gerard goes against unspoken and ancient laws and takes her under his wing, vowing to protect her from the Ordinem, making a promise that most wouldn't dare to make. After all, she's the only one who can help him get what he's desired since that horrible night. Gerard has no idea that Nyxia will change his and his friends' lives in ways no one could have fathomed. And Nyxia has no idea what she is meant to be in this new and dangerous world that she's been dragged into.
