But you can't exactly turn down a personal request for your transfer from the Police Commissioner, especially after the man saved his life once upon a time. So cue him packing up every single thing he owns; his life, his music, his writing, his dog, and hopping across the ocean for a job in New York City. Everything that was to follow was expected; murder cases that tend to go cold, saving the Commissioner at many points along the way, even stopping a terrorist attack.
