Alex, Nick, Bob, and Paul are all in a private, weirdly religious, all boys high school, and they can't stand it. The multiple-building campus is confusing, the rooms are old and dusty, and the only good thing on the lunch menu are, surprisingly, the vegan tacos. There are also the other kids too, who are only focused on girls, and pretending that they are better than the rest of them. When Alex, the self proclaimed leader of his small group of four, finds a mysterious art piece with a message in the computer lab, he and his friends discover that they are not alone, and that there is a whole other group that will help them get through the next 4 years.

When Paul convinced his friends to join him when he takes a job at the local Lazer Tag/Paintball/Kickball facility, he never thought that they would say yes. Now, it's Senior year, and they need the money more than ever. Even though they're all sick and tired of the sweaty, slimy middle schoolers that come there for birthday parties every day, they have no choice but to stay, and it's going to take loads of Starbucks Frapps and blasting Emo music (that none of the kids know) to cope with it.

Alex struggles with this class, and Cadence agrees to help him out.
