Almost seventeen years before Clary Fairchild came into everyone's lives, a young girl around one year old showed up on the steps of the New York Institute. There was no explanation for who she was or where she'd come from. Just a sleeping girl wrapped in a blanket with a necklace and the clothes on her back. She was taken in by the Lightwood family, and over time she became one of the best in the institute. After a while, everyone gave up on finding answers about her family, even the girl herself. "Then why are you still going to leave tonight with that jerk?!" I yelled, my anger rising, I could feel the bubbling heat in my veins. "Because" she simply answered. Now she's really getting on my nerves. "Because why-" I asked before she cut me off. "Because Josh, just because, ok?" she sighed "I like him, and I can't do anything for you if I don't feel the same towards you! What you expect me to leave someone, I like just because you think you're better?!" she shouted "I know I'm better" I said more calmly as I pulled her into my arms and kissed her with all I had, to try and make her change her mind. This is an alternate ending to Cassandra Clare's award winning novel "City of Glass" from "The Mortal Instruments" series. And now Clary is about to go through hell and torture for the rest of her life. Will the truth come out? Or will someone have to suffer for the death of Clary's father: Valentine Morgenstern.
