Freak of the circus in a short horrific tale, shadows lurk among them and twins have disappeared. Elara the Serpent Lady and a fellow member of the freak show bare witness to something horrific, will they join the Shadow Man's dimension or will they forever entertain with their unique talents?

My mother wasn't a mutant she wasn't born with the gift of evolution but she knew Charles Xavier from the past they shared. He ignored me at my mothers bequest due since mutants were a secret the majority of the world knew nothing about, she didn't want me in the institution. A week after my 9th birthday one night, I woke up to the smell of burning wood and furniture, I looked for my mother but saw a horror ill never forget a swirl of shadow had her in its hand. She was bleeding from her mouth and nose, when I went to help the shadow smacked me into the wall. My mom screamed in pain as I watched her turn into orange dust. The shadow spoke to me "Happiness is a lie. Life is horror. The light is always dying, all across the universe. The last star will flicker out someday. When it does, all that remains... shadow. And I will be its king, You have Xavier to thanks for this... " As it got closer I raised my hand and screamed a burning pain emanated from my hand and a bright light submerged the house... destroying 12 square blocks where were Xavier's X-men no where.

February 2020...The month that the world was claimed by the dead. Any living was quickly consumed and turned. Any person who had any amount of humanity was turned to selfish beings who cared for themselves. The world has changed and it happened in only a few hours. Welcome to the New World.

(DISCONTINUED) What you need to know: In this world, 1. Some people have superpowers. 2. They're called Freaks. 3. Freaks live in FreakTown (secluded from everyone else) 4. Freaks must wear collars to prevent them from using their power and it alerts authorities when they're using them. 5. Freaks go to school with Norms. 6. Norms are people who were born without powers or they're born "normal". 7. Any Freak that commits crimes against a Norm results in a harsher punishment than a Norm against Norm crime. 8. Freaks are treated as lesser citizens 9. If you were born a Freak to a Norm family, you are taken and placed in FreakTown with a foster family. 10. If a Norm is born from Freaks, it will be taken to a Norm foster family. 11. Freaks don't bother dealing with Norms because they know it is pointless to try. 12. Freaks are not allowed outside of FreakTown without a Collar. 13. Only certain Freaks leave FreakTown for market and to get some more goods and supplies. 14. Freaks don't fall in Love with Norms John Laurens is a Freak. He was born with a "superpower", which the Norms call a disgusting error in humanity. He has the ability to make anyone who dare meet his eyes fall under his control and become what he wants them to be, he also has the ability to make fire with his hands, a simple snap of his finger and your eyebrows are singed off. So the Norms avoid him at every cost. See his collar does stop his mind control but his fire is a different story. So nobody dares to get on his bad side. He's accepted the fact that this is how things are, Freaks stay in FreakTown, Norms stay OUT of FreakTown. That's how it is. No if's, and's or but's about it. Nobody can change this, so why try? At least that's what he thought. Before he met a gorgeous Norm who has a childlike wonder and fascination with Freaks and wants to change the status quo. But he's a Freak, and Norms and Freaks DO NOT get along... But maybe that can change? (DISCONTINUED)

Raven was a freak she was an accident made in a lab. When she got out she was near death but was saved by none other than Larten crepsley. Follow her as she lives in the cirque and helps fight the the war. Friends will be made and lost old memory's will rise as raven fights to remember what really happened in that lab.

Every single one of these teens is terrified, and their situation continues to get worse and worse. Getting stabbed with syringes, waking up once again in the center of Henderson, Nevada with crazy abilities, meeting some weirdo who won't tell them what her power is, and rarely getting along, just to name a few. The only thing they agree on is the fact that they'd like to see their families and friends before they die. And as possible as that seemed in the first few hours of being confined in their prison, the idea is slipping further and further away. Scared, hungry, and burning up in the desert sun, will these kids be able to make it through a madman's experiment and see their loved ones again? Or will they deal with loss after crushing loss, destined to die at the age of fifteen? *^* Updates will arrive as frequently as possible, but I wouldn't expect them much as midterm season has begun. No promises on times, unfortunately; they'll be pretty sporadic.
